Word formation is a great way to help students broaden their vocabulary. Lair’s tip: After the game, see how much of the vocabulary students have retained with a timed round. Divide students into smaller groups and hand them a half-finished table of word formation with only a noun, adjective or verb given, and 60 seconds to complete the task. Right after, the teams must swap, correct and count the points. They can rob points by filling in the missing words. It’s a fun extension that allows teamwork and movement.
