Across 30 grammar topics, you’ll find clear, concise explanations and 200 exercises in total that you need for the level. The book covers many of the structures that make the difference between a solid B2 learner and a confident C1 user, including inversion, cleft sentences, sentence connectors, the subjunctive, advanced passive structures, conditional inversion and much more.
With 128 pages of focused practice, it’s substantial enough to make real progress while remaining manageable to work through independently too.
Lair’s tip: Every now and then, give your C1 students a “grammar pit stop”. Let each learner choose the grammar topic they want to improve, then enjoy about 10 minutes of complete classroom silence while everyone works independently. Skip the whole-class correction (as the topics are different anyway), students can check their own answers with the answer key and come to you with any questions. Let them have some uninterrupted time to focus on their own language skills and take responsibility for their own progress in a safe environment without worrying that their mistakes would become public.
